Breakfast & terrace

A slow morning before the day gets loud

Breakfast can be ordered at the villa. There is no rush, no buffet queue, no music. Coffee, bread, and a table by the window until you feel ready to move.

The dining room is small on purpose. Panelled walls, lace at the windows, a sideboard for the coffee pot, and enough tables that a full house still feels calm. It is the kind of room you write postcards in, plan a route in, or simply sit for a second cup while the rest of the villa stirs.

Breakfast is available on request rather than as part of the room rate, so guests can choose whether to eat in or head into town, where there are cafes within walking distance for a change of scenery.

We keep it honest: this is not a restaurant, and we do not serve a fixed menu we cannot stand behind. What we do serve, we serve well, and the coffee is always on.

Under the plane trees

The terrace that gave the villa its name

When the weather is warm, the terrace behind the villa is where breakfast belongs. Mature plane trees throw long, moving shadows across the stone paving. There are wooden chairs, a small table, and the kind of quiet that lets you hear leaves rather than traffic. Guests linger here in the evening too, with a book or a glass of something after a day on the road.
